چکیده

A study was undertaken to evaluate the significance of elevated troponin-T after perculaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in 52 patienrs. After PTCA, 35 palients (67.3%ù showed elevated TnT. Except in one patient who developed heartfailure, the other patients-had uneventful clinical course. l[/e conclude that PTCA might induce minor myocardial injury, which is no! associated with immediate adverse outcomes. The role of TnT for risk stratification after PTCA should be further refned.

Assessment of patients skin dose undergoing coronary angiography and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)

Background: Practice of interventional cardiology procedures such as Coronary angiography (CA) and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) has largely increased in recent years and is now changing to a matter of routine in many hospitals. The purpose of this study was to measure skin and organ doses in patients undergoing CA and PTCA and to find a probable relation with c...

The value of myocardial perfusion imaging with Tc-99m MIBI for the prediction of perfusion improvement after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty

Introduction: Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) is an effective method for revascularizing of stenotic coronary vessels. Lack of response to this treatment, either in symptomatic or asymptomatic patients, is usually due to incomplete revascularization, restenosis, and/or irreversibility of myocardial perfusion. Introduction of a noninvasive metho...

Significance of Cardiac Troponin T Release in Detecting Minor Myocardial Injury After Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty

649 Abstract: Cardiac Troponin T (TnT) is a regulatory contractile protein not normally found in blood. Its detection in the circulation has been shown to be a sensitive and specific marker for myocardial cell damage. This study was designed to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency of TnT enzyme immunoassay in detecting myocardial damage in patients with stable angina pectoris undergoing visually ...
